Traveling Day Camp is designed to help churches bring the camp experience to children in their home community.
Stronghold will send three to four specially recruited and trained summer staff to your church. They will bring art supplies, game equipment, curriculum resources, and their individual, special skills in storytelling, games, and songs.
The congregation provides support services in the form of adult volunteers for each day of camp. These volunteers might assist with the noon meal (if provided by the church), help with music and art activities and generally support the work of the Stronghold counselors.
Counselors also require housing and some meals during the week. The local church will be asked to help with promotion of the camp in the community and involvement in the camp as arranged by the Program Director. Contact Richard Simpson, the Director of Youth Ministry and Church Outreach at email@example.com for full program details.
