is Stronghold's International Gift Shop?
Stronghold's International
Gift shop is a mission and ministry of the Stronghold
Conference, Retreat & Camping Center. Its
purpose is to facilitate the development of
the poorest of the world's craftspeople. Participation
in the global network of artisans enables others
to take part in the improvement of lives through
education, health services, and involvement
in local government.
When you purchase items from our shop, you become
a global partner in promoting justice and hope
throughout the world.
What can I expect
to find in the International Gift Shop?
The Gift Shop carries
items from A-Z, including alphabets and zebras.
Stock items rotate with the seasons. You might
find:
- Hand-woven vests from Guatemala
- Wood carving from Kenya
- Musical instruments from
Cameroon
- Jewelry from the Philippines
& Peru
- Lacquerware from Viet
Nam
- Christmas decorations
from Thailand, El Salvador, & the West
Bank
- Toys and dolls from Russia
Countries represented change
frequently, so check often. Also, artisans constantly
create new items. The shop offers lots to see
each time you come!
When
can I find the Gift Shop open?
Saturday hours are normally
10:00 am–2:00 pm.
We are open during the Olde English Faie (during Oregon's Autumn on Parade festival) as well as special store hours that are announced
