Merchant Policies 2008

This is a juried show. All new merchants must submit slides or pictures of their work and booth set-up. Upon acceptance, an application form will be sent to you. If you have any questions, please call Stronghold, 815/732-6111 or e-mail pat@strongholdcenter.org.

  1. Stronghold will provide an assigned space for a $40.00 booth fee if reserved before July 1. After July 1, the fee will be $50.00. You may set up a canopy, tent, or other pieces. Checks should be made payable to Stronghold. The fee is non-refundable.
  2. You may rent one or more tables, 8 feet long, for $10.00 per table. Tables must be reserved in advance. You may cover the table if you choose or use the same area with your own display units. NOTE: This is an outdoor area. In case of rain, every effort will be made to make indoor space available, but we cannot guarantee indoor space.
  3. You must be set up and ready by 8:45 am on Saturday, October 6 and Sunday, October 7. All vehicles must be parked in designated areas no later than 8:30 am on both days. Vehicles will not be allowed in the Faire site until the Faire officially closes. The gate will close at 4:00 pm both days and the grounds will close at 5:30 or 6:00 pm. NOTE: You are expected to stay both days and be open from 9:00 am until the grounds close.
  4. If possible, you are urged to demonstrate your craft as well as sell finished products. All goods are expected to be products made by the principal user of the booth space. Exceptions, such as books or patterns, must be pre-approved.
  5. You are required to dress in a Renaissance style in order to promote the feeling of an "Olde English Faire."
  6. Meal tickets are available for the weekend for $15.00 per person. These may be used for breakfast/lunch/supper on Saturday and Sunday. Note: breakfast is served at 7:30 am in Brubaker Dining Center. Lunch and supper are available during Faire hours in the Courtyard and at Brubaker.
  7. Camping spaces are available at no charge — there is, however, no electrical power supply. You must reserve these spaces at the same time as the booth space.
